4. Goods Guard
- Total Number of Post – 1768
- Salary – Rs. 5200-20200 with GP of Rs 2800
5. Junior Accountants Assistant cum Typist
- Total Number of Post – 191
- Rs. 5200-20200 with GP of Rs 2800
6. Senior Clerk cum Typist
- Total Number of Post – 441
- Rs. 5200-20200 with GP of Rs 2800
7. Assistant Station Master
- Total Number of Post – 2646
- Rs. 5200-20200 with GP of Rs 2800
8. Traffic Assistant
- Total Number of Post – 12
- Rs. 5200-20200 with GP of Rs 2000
Age – 18 to 33 ( as on 1st July, 2012) Reservation for the reserved categories
Selection Process
- 1st Stage – Common Preliminary Examination for all the eight categories
- 2nd Stage – Candidates equal to 15 times of total vacancies of each category would be selected for the next exam, which would take place on 4 different dates wise for different categories.
NOTE : Negative marking in written examination.
- 3rd stage - Skill test for Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist/Sr. Clerk Cum Typist and Aptitude test for the post of Assistant Station Master and Traffic Assistant.
- 4th Stage - Verification of document of selected candidates and Medical Fitness Test.
Application Process
Online – Candidates have the option to fill up their application online, if such facility is provided by respective RRB , from where they want to apply.
Offline – Candidates have also the option to send the application offline.

You can apply Online, provided , that particular RRB, from where you want to apply is having that facility. If not then you have to apply Offline.
respected sir/mam i want to be the part of indian railway i have applied for ASM i have completed B.com, MBA. so plz guide me some right path so that i can serve indian railways. as my land is also acqired by the indian railway for their ongoing projects
I hope that you got compensation for your land, as far as railway jobs are concerned you must go ahead and apply for the jobs which are meant for general graduates- Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, ASM, TTE, Clerical Jobs etc.
If you are confident about your abilities then you can think higher and apply for UPSC Civil Services through which you will get officer jobs in the Indian Railway.
what is education qualification criteria in this examination, i mean up to which date graduation degree must be completed so the candidate may be eligible for the examination
Please read the official notification. Anyway you must have passed your degree examination on the cut off date.
